Josh Turner's New Album Is Gonna Be Freakin' Fantastic!

JOSH TURNER recorded an album of cover songs that'll be out August 21st. It's called "Country State of Mind" and it features an amazing cast of guest performers including RANDY TRAVIS. Yes, Randy Travis.

It was his first recording session since his stroke back in 2013, and they did a duet of his classic "Forever and Ever, Amen". Josh says, quote, "Randy has always been my hero. He was the reason I wanted to become a country singer."

Other standout tracks include a duet with KRIS KRISTOFFERSON on Kris' 1973 hit "Why Me" . . . a collaboration with MADDIE & TAE on George Strait's 2004 song "Desperately" . . . and a duet with JOHN ANDERSON on his 1993 hit "I've Got It Made".

And if the title of the album sounds familiar, that's because "Country State of Mind" was a hit for Hank Williams Jr. in 1986. Josh brought in CHRIS JANSON for a new version of that.
