DWIGHT YOAKAM married his fiancée Emily Joyce back in March but didn't reveal it until yesterday. He posted pics of the big day on Instagram. She's in a wedding gown and he's in a black suit with his signature cowboy hat.
He included a statement saying the announcement was "withheld out of respect to people affected by and on the front lines of the pandemic."
The wedding was in Santa Monica, California, and they practiced social distancing even though the state hadn't rolled out any requirements yet. There were less than ten witnesses, and they all sat six feet apart from each other.
The couple started seeing each other in 2010 and have been engaged for several years. Dwight is 63, and this is his first marriage, although he's had the pleasure of dating Sharon Stone, Bridget Fonda, and Wynonna Judd.
Dwight has sold over 25 million records and put more than 30 singles on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. And here's a cool fact: He's the most frequent musical guest in the history of "The Tonight Show".
