DUSTIN LYNCH is very disappointed that he didn't get an ACM nomination. I'm sure he's not the only artist feeling that way. Not everyone gets recognized. But I am pretty sure he's the only one who complained about it on video.
I feel really bad for the guy.
He posted a clip of himself from last week where he's in a hotel room in Arizona watching the nominees get announced. He was all-smiles and looking confident, and was even sharing the good vibes with a friend who was on speakerphone.
But when they listed the Single Record of the Year nominees, his name didn't come up. That's when the smile went away and he started to vent.
He said, quote,"Well, we successfully didn't get nominated again. Career-changing song. I don't get it. What am I missing? [It]just sucks. It's like we're playing with one, maybe two hands tied behind our back. I don't get it.
"[But] it changes nothing about today or how we go about it. Worked freaking hard for this. Sucks." He was expecting some love for "Small Town Boy", which spent time at the top of the Country Airplay chartlast year. (PopCulture)
