Two Australian songwriters sued Tim McGraw and Faith Hill for ripping off their tune.
The opening piano chords of last year’s country duet “The Rest of Our Life” sound pretty familiar to the Australian’s song “When I Found You” released in 2014.
The lawsuit calls it “blatant copying, in many instances, verbatim, note-for-note copying of original elements of the song, and is obvious to the ordinary observer.”
