Bobby announced a new game using his “money pile,” explaining that whoever won would take home all the cash inside, which totaled $4. Everyone’s name, including Bobby’s, was put on a wheel. Bobby spun the wheel to select the contestants before revealing the game. The first spin landed on Morgan. The second spin landed on Amy. Bobby then revealed the game: a “Compliment Battle.”
In a compliment battle, each person gives compliments to the other, one at a time. The goal is to land strong compliments, and whoever delivers the best overall compliments wins. Compliments were eventually limited to one sentence and one idea per round.
Morgan went first. Her first compliment focused on Amy, saying it had been cool to watch her growth over the last 10 years, complimenting her confidence, style, and how she’s come into her own. Bobby clarified that this counted as one compliment, even though it included multiple points. Amy followed with her first compliment, telling Morgan that after going through a lot and becoming comfortable being single, she found the love of her life and has been glowing ever since getting engaged.
In round two, Morgan complimented Amy by calling her a strong, independent woman. Amy responded by complimenting Morgan’s therapy dog and the impact it has, which led to some discussion about whether that counted as a compliment toward Morgan herself. Heading into the final round, Morgan delivered her third compliment, telling Amy she is a "dang good mom." Bobby noted that Amy would need a strong final compliment to stay competitive. Amy’s final compliment to Morgan was that she has one of the biggest hearts of anyone she knows. Bobby acknowledged the compliment, but declared Morgan the winner of the first-ever Compliment Battle.
Morgan was awarded the $4 from the money pile, marking the first time anyone had won money from it. Bobby joked that it wasn’t about the amount of money, but where it came from.
