TMSG: Pizza Shop Owner Bringing Free Pizzas To Healthcare Workers

Connecticut pizza shop owner Kurt Kruczek of Naples Pizza is doing his part to help his community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Kruczek got an idea from a friend in the restaurant industry who was bringing pizzas to his local hospital. He told Fox & Friends, "I thought, what a great way to contribute to what's happening right now and maybe make it a little bigger and invite other restaurants to do the same." So Kruczek has been taking free pizzas to doctors and nurses in his community that are fighting coronavirus. Since starting it, he plans to do it at least once a week and twice a day for lunch and dinner.

Not only is he and his pizza shop helping, but he's trying to get other restaurants on board. His restaurant is functioning at about 50 percent capacity at the moment and he's trying to keep his staff employed as much as possible during the outbreak. Kruczek said that helping others is the best thing everyone can do right now. He added,

"Hopefully people in the area and people in areas across the country can buy gift cards to restaurants and maybe donate them to hospitals or police or anybody to keep restaurants going. Or even just call your local restaurants and order food and have it delivered to hospitals. Because I'm sure restaurants across the country would love to do that."
