Carly Pearce shared a stunning rendition of her candid, vulnerable new single, “Dream Come True.”
The Grammy-winning country artist shared “one last dressing room bathroom video for the year,” she wrote in her caption on Instagram on Sunday (November 30). Commenters applauded Pearce’s vocals and her “beautiful,” “gorgeous,” “pure magic” performance. Her boyfriend, Jordan Karcher, wrote, “best voice on the planet.”
Pearce debuted “Dream Come True” last month after posting teasers on social media. She wrote the song with Lauren Hungate, Tofer Brown and Emily Weisband, and produced it with Ben West. Pearce opened up about “a long journey over the last couple of years for me, mentally,” when she released her newest single, pointing out “pressures” of building her career in music. “This song is my kind of re-direction to reconnect with why I wanted to do this in the first place. …And if you’re feeling like you don’t know how to do all of this, you’re not alone and we’re more than enough.”
Pearce said in a statement via her record label that “Dream Come True” is “about the sacrifices we make when chasing our dreams. If you’ve ever felt that push and pull, know that you’re not alone. Writing this song has allowed me to return to my original dream, to reconnect with my roots and why I first fell in love with singing Country music.” “Dream Come True” arrives as Pearce gets ready for her fifth studio record. Her next chapter will follow hummingbird, which released in 2024, and the 19-track deluxe edition, hummingbird: no rain, no flowers, which arrived earlier this year.
