Henderson County Opens Shelter Ahead of Hurricane Helene

Many counties across Western North Carolina are working to get ahead of any trouble that Hurricane Helene may bring to the area.

Henderson County is no different.

Officials there have taken steps to open up a shelter for those that may need it.

Henderson County will be opening an emergency shelter at our Athletics and Activities Center located at 708 South Grove Street, Hendersonville NC.

The shelter will open at 12:00pm today and will remain open until it is safe for residents to return home.
