A demonstration planned on North Carolina's last day of early voting in one city ended with pepper spray and chaos.
ABC affiliate WTVD obtained video footage of the event from the News & Observer, showing Alamance County deputies and City of Graham police officers slowly approaching demonstrators standing on podiums during an event called, "I Am Change March to the Polls."
According to a press release from the City of Graham Police Department, Reverend Greg Drumwright, who organized the march to the polls, was provided a copy of the department's public safety plan, one which did not include any road closures due to the event's "proximity to the voting poll located" nearby.
