Thomas Rhett's daughter, Ada James, recently took part in the viral "Toddler Challenge."
The trend finds parents leaving a snack in front of their child and asking them not to eat it until they return. Beforehand, a hidden camera is set up to watch the child's reaction and see if they are patient enough to wait.
The country star and his wife, Lauren Akins, decided to tempt their 2-year-old with a big bowl of colorful jelly beans. In the video shared on Instagram, Lauren asks Ada James not to touch any until she returns from the restroom.
"Okay, so very patient," Ada James adorably remarks.
When her mom walks away, Ada James' excitement over the jelly beans escalates. No matter how much she clearly wanted to start eating them, Ada James patiently awaited her mother's return.
"Ada James being so BERY patient," she wrote in the caption. "After pool hair, ballet outfit & #toddlerchallenge 🌈💕 #soBERYpatient"

Ada James is Thomas and Lauren's middle daughter. The couple also have two other daughters including 4-year-old, Willa Gray and a 3-month-old Lennon Love.
Like most of us, the country star has been hunkered down at home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Thomas seems to be enjoying the extra time with his family while also continuing to work on new music.
Most recently, Rhett debuted a new song called, "Slow Down Summer." The track finds Rhett singing about a summer love he didn't want to end.
"We had our hopes up and windows down, fallin' fast in a one lane town, tangled up with your lips on mine, never seen a brighter green in those eyes," he sings. "And I put my jacket on your shoulder, wishing the weather wasn't getting colder, letting you go holding on to each other, closing our eyes saying slow down summer."
