Asheville Oktoberfest

Asheville Oktoberfest, presented by Allegiant, returns on Saturday, October 5 from 1pm to 6pm in Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville. Tickets on sale at ashevilleoktoberfest.com beginning Friday, Aug. 2. Oktoberfest is a production of the Asheville Downtown Association.

Following a parade through the park, the ceremonial tapping of the keg will officially open the festivities. Confirmed participants include: 12 Bones Brewing, Asheville Brewing Co., Blue Ridge Cold Brew (craft coffee), Bold Rock Hard Cider, Catawba Brewing Co., Chateau Ste. Michelle (wine), The Collaboratory, Cultivated Cocktails, Currahee Brewing Co., Dalton Distillery, Devil's Foot Beverages (non-alcoholic craft sodas), Eluvium Brewing Co., Flat Rock Cider Co., Foothills Brewing, French Broad Brewery, Ginger's Revenge, Highland Brewing Co., Hi-Wire Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing Co., Nantahala Brewing Co., Noble Cider, Oskar Blues, Oak City Amaretto, Pisgah Brewing, Samuel Adams, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Upcountry Brewing Co., Whistle Hop Brewing Co. and Wicked Weed Brewing. **List is subject to change.

The Official Oktoberfest Games are back as well. Attendees can sign up onsite to participate and prizes will be awarded for speed, accuracy and general shenanigans. Games include: Brezel Werfen (pretzel toss), Stein Hissen (stein hoist), Unterwäsche Rennen (Tighty Whities Race) and the Kostümwettbewerb (Costume Contest). **Games subject to change.

Oktoberfest is a 21 and over festival, attendees are strongly encouraged to leave the kids at home. If you must bring children, those six and up must have a child ticket. Children under six will be admitted free. Designated driver tickets are available for $10.
