Governor Cooper Says NC Lucky Following Hurricane Irma

Governor Cooper says overall most of North Carolina has been lucky as far as the impact of Hurricane Irma.  

He said most of the power outages in the state are in Buncombe, Henderson, Jackson, Macon and Mecklenburg counties.  

Cooper said NCDOT crews are clearing roads of downed trees in WNC.  

He added the North Carolina Forest Service is clearing limbs and the state's National Guard Chainsaw Crew is working in Buncombe, Macon and Jackson counties.
