Asheville police have charged a woman with false imprisonment after they say she took a neighborhood child into her apartment without permission.
The incident happened on Monday, Sept. 28, at Palisades Circle in south Asheville.
Police say they initially responded to a call about a missing child. However, upon arrival, they say the parent had found the young child in a neighboring apartment.
