Miley Cyrus is on a mission to beat Blake Shelton on The Voice, and she’s bringing in the country music heavy hitters to do it.
The “Malibu” singer reveals she’s bringing along dad Billy Ray Cyrus as her team mentor when she returns to the hit NBC show later this year.
And the Still the King star is someone Blake can’t deny.
“When Blake was in high school, he was so obsessed with my dad that the teachers called him ‘Achy Blakey’ because he would do everything that my dad did.,” Miley says, referencing her dad’s 1992 breakthrough smash “Achey Breaky Heart.” “And [Blake] was ruined the minute he told me that because now’s he’s just a poser and now I’m gonna bring in the real deal. I’m real excited about that.”
Miley goes on to say she’s “gotta do what you gotta do to win” against Blake.
Jennifer Hudson also joins Blake, Miley and Adam Levine on the coaching panel for Season 13. Look for it to premiere on NBC this fall.
